Samsung’s latest pen-enabled premium phones are coming this month.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 20 packs a 6.7 inch AMOLED display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865+ processor, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, and a starting price of $999.

If you want a bit more of, well… everything, then there’s the Samsung Galaxy Note 20 Ultra, which has a bigger, higher-resolution display with a faster screen refresh rate, more RAM, and a few other differences including a lower latency S Pen. With a starting price of $1300 though, it’s not exactly cheap.

Both phones go up for pre-order this week and they should ship August 21st.

    1. Sorry, I just noticed the spam filter had been overly aggressive for the past week or two. Just cleared a bunch of comments.

      1. Thanks, Brad. Then you may want to delete my excess, duplicate comments now you’ve all approved, including the duplicate like to the same YouTube video. Or never mind, it’s your blog. 😉

  1. The price difference between mid-range phones and flagships is getting so huge lately. Mid range phones are getting much more powerful, and smartphone CPU demands are not getting much higher. At these prices, I’m expecting more than just a phone with a few extra niche features. The price jump from the $499 Galaxy A51 5G to the $1300 Note 20 Ultra doesn’t buy me enough.

I’d like to see the Note make an attempt to depart from the smartphone paradigm. If it could become an 8″ tablet, or maybe a folding dual screen device, then maybe it could be worth that money. A pen, and a better screen, and a few gigs of RAM isn’t worth $800 extra.

  2. I guess maybe the high resolution of the cameras is what justifies 12GB of RAM in a smartphone.

  3. I wanted to post something punchy and timely, but it didn’t go through.
