The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is an Android tablet with a 10.4 inch display, S-Pen support, and a Samsung Exynos 9610 processor.

First introduced in April, the tablet is available for pre-order from several retailers including Amazon, B&H, and Best Buy and it’s set to begin shipping on May 29th.

Positioned as a more affordable alternative to the Galaxy Tab S6, the Lite model isn’t exactly cheap — prices start at $350 for a model with 64GB of storage or $430 for a 128GB model. But the tablet is certainly cheaper than the original Galaxy Tab S6, which sells for $650 and up.

Samsung did make some trade-offs to cut the price by $300 though. The Lite model has an LCD display rather than AMOLED, a lower screen resolution, less memory and storage, less impressive cameras, and a less powerful processor. But the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite does have one feature its pricier cousin lacks — a headphone jack.

Here’s a run-down of key specs for the Galaxy Tab S6 Lite and Galaxy Tab S6:

  1. Finally, they up the max microSD capacity.
Wish they had louder built-in speakers, or made a
charging speaker dock available. Prefer an
speaker dock that you just put the tablet on top
of (which Lenovo had a version of but without speakers,
which Leonovo discontinued) rather than having to
interface a different brand Bluetooth speaker.

  2. Man, that is a bit overpriced for the performance you getting from this chip in galaxy tab s6 lite. Some of the ipads models would be better and cheaper. The only plus is that spen support and android support.

    1. Yes, most iPad models have significantly more CPU performance, however the only one that competes around the $350 price is the standard iPad 32gb model (7th gen). So you’re really limited for choice if you’re shopping in this price range. You need to spend $500 to get an iPad better than that.

Having said that, the iPad is probably the better buy for most consumers. This Samsung model is likely going to receive few OS updates, as Samsung tends to neglect their lower priced tablets.

Personally, I wouldn’t buy either of them. That new Lenovo Duet Chrome OS tablet looks like the better purchase in this segment. Far less performance than either of these, but amazing battery life, and WAY longer OS update support than either Samsung or Apple will offer.
