While there’s a lot of talk today about whether you’re better off buying a Surface Pro X with an ARM processor or a Surface Pro 7 with an Intel x86 chip, there’s another option that can save you a lot of money — just buy an older Surface tablet.

With a 6th-gen Intel Core processor, the Microsoft Surface Pro 4 may not be quite as speedy as a newer model with a 10th-gen chip. But it’s a heck of a lot cheaper — right now Woot is selling a model with a Core i5-6300 CPU, 4GB of RAM, 128GB of storage, a Type Cover, and a digital pen for $600.

That’s less than you’d spend to pick up a Surface Go Bundle with similar accessories and a far less powerful processor.

Still more than you want to spend on a tablet? How about $40 for a previous-gen Amazon Fire HD 8? Sure, it can’t do everything a Windows tablet can, but it’s pretty cheap for a device for web browsing, light gaming, or watching videos.

Here are some of the day’s best deals.
