Today’s not a bad day to be in the market for a cheap Chromebook.

Best Buy is running a sale on select Chromebooks, which means you can pick up a Lenovo convertible for $199, a Samsung 11.6 inch Chromebook for $129, or a HP 14″ convertible with a Core i3 processor and 8GB of RAM for $449.

Meanwhile Dell is offering an 11.6 inch Chromebook with 4GB of RAM and 16GB of storage for $130, which is $70 off the list price.

Here are some of the day’s best deals.

  1. When evaluating Chromebook deals, it’s useful to check Google’s automatic update policy for the model you’re looking at: https://support.google.com/chrome/a/answer/6220366

Some on sale older models may only get ChromeOS updates for three more years while newer models will get six years of updates. Of course, Chromebooks are useful past the AUE date; we have Acer C710’s in daily use that are about two years past their AUE date.

      1. We haven’t noticed anything that anything doesn’t work except they are not supported by the online statewide standardized testing.

    1. This has been the reason that I have passed up on most Chromebook deals. I would like a Chromebook, but most of the interesting models are a few years old before they actually reach a price I agree with.
