One Netbook keeps cranking out new mini laptops. The company recently started taking pre-orders for the One Mix 3 Yoga and One Mix 3S Yoga which are convertible notebooks with 8.4 inch touchscreen displays and Intel Amber Lake processors and prices that start at around $750.

But One Netbook also has a smaller, more affordable model on the way.

The One Mix 1S Yoga is an 7 inch convertible with an Intel Celeron 3965Y Kaby Lake processor, 8GB of RAM, a 128GB PCIe SSD, and a fingerprint sensor.

Update: GeekBuying is taking pre-orders for the One Mix 1S Yoga for $440 and says the mini laptop should ship in mid-July. You can also save $10 when you use the coupon 3ZQUXJGU at checkout.

It should be available later this month and while I haven’t seen an official price tag yet, all signs point to the One Mix 1S being more affordable than most other members of the One Mix family (with the possible exception of the original One Mix Yoga which featured an Intel Atom processor).

One Netbook hasn’t shared pricing information yet, but the specs certainly point to a device which should be a bit more affordable than the new One Mix 3 series mini laptops.

Like the 1st-gen One Mix Yoga, the new One Mix 1S will feature a 7 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel display, a backlit keyboard, support for a digital pen (sold separately) with 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity, a 6500 mAh battery, and an optical touch sensor rather than a touchpad.

Update: It looks like this probably does not have backlit keys.

One Netbook says the design will be similar to that of the One Mix 2S, which means we can expect an aluminum chassis, a fingerprint sensor next to the space bar, and ports along one side of the little computer.

The One Mix 1S should measure about 0.7 inches thick and weigh about 1.1 pounds, making it a bit larger than a typical smartphone, but a lot smaller than most laptops.

It’s worth noting that this wouldn’t be the first mini laptop to feature an Intel Celeron 3965Y processor. Late last year, GPD launched a Celeron-powered version of the GPD Pocket 2 as a lower-price (and less powerful) alternative to models with Intel Core m3 processors.

  1. “One Netbook says the design will be similar to that of the One Mix 2S” – this is incorrect according to the Geekbuying page. On Geekbuying, it’s the OneMix 1 with a change in processor and SSD. No fingerprint sensor, Micro-USB charging instead of USB-C, and backlit keyboard.

    1. The Geekbuying page does show a fingerprint sensor, USB-C Power Delivery, and the backlit keyboard was standard on the original One Mix Yoga.

        1. Oh right, it totally slipped my mind that they dropped the backlit keyboard when they did the 2. It’s back with the 3, presumably because there’s more room.

  5. Nice to see One Netbook continuing with 7 inch devices. I was concerned OEMs were leaving this smaller form factor.

  6. Sadly, that processor, the Celeron 3965Y, is too slow. It is about as slow as old Bay Trail/Silvermont Atom procesors in terms of multithreaded performance. They went way too far going cheap on the processor. They could have at least used a Pentium Silver N5000, which offers almost double the multithreaded performance and slightly faster single-threaded performance. Even the Surface Go’s Pentium Gold 4415Y is faster. Of course, the integrated graphics of the Celeron here is faster than the Pentium Silver I have mentioned, but I cannot help but feel that the extreme sluggishness of the CPU will hold back the GPU in most cases. As it is, One Netbook’s choice of a bottom-of-the-barrel Celeron makes it a very undesirable choice for me and perhaps many others.

    1. How does it compare to the usual ARM SoCs from smartphones or tablets?

      What I have in mind: if this would have 4G modem, would it run Plasma Mobile?
