The One Mix 3 Yoga is a tiny convertible laptop with an 8.4 inch 2560 x 1600 pixel touchscren display, an Intel Core m3-8100Y processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of solid state storage.

One Netbook has been slowly revealing details about the upcoming mini PC for the past few weeks. Now it’s available for pre-order.

GeekBuying is selling the One Mix 3 Yoga for $760 and it should ship begin shipping in mid-June.

Update: You can save $10 by using the coupon code BELWFNVY.

With an 8.4 inch display, the new model will be the largest One Mix laptop to date, but it’s still pretty tiny by traditional PC standards. It measures about 8″ x 5.1″ x 0.6 and weighs about 1.4 pounds.

The tiny laptop features a micro HDMI port, a headset jack, a microSD card reader, and USB Type-C and USB 3.0 Type-A ports.

The One Mix 3 Yoga charges via the USB-C port, so you should be able to charge the laptop from a USB power bank if you’ve got one that cranks out enough power.

It has a metal chassis, a 360-degree hinge that allows you to use the computer in notebook or tablet modes, and optional support for a digital pen with 4096 levels of pressure sensitivity.

The computer has a backlit keyboard that’s a little larger than the one found on earlier One Mix devices and some keys have been moved. For the most part, the new keyboard looks like it should be easier to type on — but the decision to move the Tab key to the row above the number keys is one that will probably take some getting used to.

One Netbook has also moved the optical touch sensor so that it’s below the keyboard rather than in the center of it. There are left and right buttons on either side of the touch sensor.

Other features include a fingerprint sensor built into the power button, and support for 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 and a 3.7V, 8,600 mAh battery.

While the One Mix 3 Yoga comes with a non-removable 256GB PCIe NVMe solid state drive, the company also included an empty M.2 2242 slot that you can use to add an additional SATA SSD.

The One Mix 3 Yoga isn’t the only new mini laptop on the horizon. GPD’s 8.9 inch, 1.5 pound Pocket 2 Max is also coming soon, as is the 8 inch Chuwi Minibook.

  1. Wow, that M.2 2242 slot turns out to be useless. The lack of Sim-card slot and antennas means that it can’t be used for an LTE adapter, and 2242-size SSDs are nearly scarce enough to make me avoid them as much as possible.

Few reputable brands make 2242-size M.2 SSDs, they are all low performance, and horribly priced. If you want to avoid the odd Chinese brands, you will be spending $100 on 256gb. Thats about a quarter of the capacity you get for that price with a 2280-size M.2

1TB 2242 SSDs almost don’t exist (unless you want a weird Chinese brand like Dogfish).

I don’t see myself needing an extra M.2 slot for the purpose of adding an overpriced, off-brand, low performance 256gb SSD. I would only ever add something like a 1TB, and I’m not paying more than $100/TB.

      1. Yes some of them do, the same can be said for 2242 sized cards. However that isn’t an acceptable solution for some people. My provider doesn’t offer acceptable pricing for 2x sim cards for my plan, so I share a simcard with my phone. I need to be able to pop it in conveniently.

Also, 2230-size M.2 cards might not be compatible with this slot, we don’t know yet if it has a screwhole for 2230 cards.

      2. How about antennas and placement? I’m guessing just sticking them inside the case would result in poor performance unless they specifically added an area for them where the metal case doesn’t block the signal.

        1. Yes, without the manufacturer specifically building the antennas into the device, you run the risk of the antennas being too close to internal components that are going to interfere.

Components and PCB traces that are related to USB 3.0 and PCIe are going to cause massive interference to the antennas.

      3. Do you have a link to one that has it’s own SIM slot and works on US LTE? I don’t need to swap out the card ever and maybe you could snake an antenna to the side of the case

  2. No black edition? No i7 like the one they announced for the 2s just yesterday?
    I know they’ll release it on a later date, I just hope it’s soon…

  3. Love the design and specs, might even buy one. But still think that is a stupid resolution for a tiny display, completely pointless. Complete waste of GPU cycles and battery power and having to scale it will diminish the quality of the image…

    1. I am guessing a mass production issue. Ironically, they probably could have released a lower resolution version for a higher price.

    2. These are tablet screens from yesteryear acquired at bargain price.
Getting a 1920×1080 8.4″ may be much more expensive.

    3. I agree. There are too many applications that don’t scale well enough for PPI that high.

I have a 4K 27″ monitor, and I struggle with some Windows applications, and that screen has 50% of the PPI of this 8.4″ 2K screen

  4. Looks really nice. Although, with the larger size, I think they should have gone with a physical trackpoint/trackstick/nub between the “g” and “h” keys and added a middle click button where the optical touchpad is.

What’s that “x” key in the upper right corner? I doubt it’s a second “x” character key.

    1. Patents. Lenovo/IBM. They aren’t gonna license it and aren’t going to infringe it considering Lenovo/IBM huge in China.

  5. looks beautiful, price is fine too considering that your getting a real CPU & a healthy amount of RAM/storage.

My primary question is what the battery life would be with those specs.

    1. I guess HTML tags fully work on here. Didn’t mean to make the last half my comment a link. Too bad editing comments aren’t allowed.

    2. Sad to see that LTE support via the M.2 slot ended up being a marketing mistake unless they’ll come out with a model that’s “LTE ready” with preinstalled antennas and a SIM slot. I doubt that though.

    3. Too bad it looks like One Netbook isn’t supporting built in LTE like they said they would.

  6. This is the best looking modern netbook yet. Too bad they didn’t keep the logoless lid. It’s uglified with their logo now.
