A little over a week after the One Mix 2 Yoga went up for pre-order, the folks at One Netbook have started taking pre-orders for a slightly more powerful version called the One Mix 2S.

It’s up for pre-order from Chinese retailer JD.com and comes in two versions: black and silver.

The black model sells for 5,399 yuan (about $775), while the silver version is 4,899 yuan (about $705).

Like the One Mix 2 Yoga, the One Mix 2S features a 7 inch, 1920 x 1200 pixel touchscreen display, a QWERTY keyboard, a touchscreen display, 8GB of RAM, 256GB of storage, and a fingerprint sensor.

But the Mix 2S features an Intel Core M3-8100Y Amber Lake processor rather than a M3-7Y30 chip.

The tiny computer looks a lot like the original One Mix Yoga that I reviewed earlier this year, but the processor upgrade should make the new models significantly easier to use for general-purpose computing or mobile gaming. One Netbook has also upgraded the storage from eMMC to a PCIe solid state drive.

The One Mix 2 Yoga and One Mix 2S both measure about 7.2″ x 4.2″ x 0.7″ and feature USB Type-C, USB 3.0 Type-A, micro HDMI, and headset jacks as well as a microSD card slot. The computers also feature 6,500 mAh batteries, support for 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0 and support for an optional digital pen with 2048 levels of pressure sensitivity.

There’s no word on if or when the new Mix 2S model will be available for purchase in the US or Europe, but I doubt this model will remain a China-only device for long.

The One Mix Yoga 2 with a 7th-gen Intel Core M3 chip is currently up for pre-order from Geekbuying and Gearbest for $630 to $650.

Update: The One Mix 2 S is up for preorder from Geekbuying for $720. Only the silver edition is available globally. The Black “Mission Impossible” version is a limited edition model available exclusively in China.

  1. To anyone interested in preordering, it’s definitely worth looking out for coupons. Two quite effective ones are GKBAUG32 (32$ off) or TABLETLW (10% off). I preordered the Amber Lake version for slightly under 600€ incl. stylus and EU priority delivery. Very curious about the device and how I’ll get by with the 7 inch screen and the keyboard, hope all works well and there are no quality issues – at the current price point that would be more worrisome than with the usual 200-300€ tablets from China.

    1. grg, please post an answer about your impressions once you have the device. I’d be very curious.

  2. Do they have a website? Is there a way to contact them? I would like to suggest these mini laptops to have a version with a Snapdragon 850 processor since performance is comparable to an Atom x7 & Pentium Gold processor now and battery life would be superb than using these Intel chips. The point of having these devices super portable is that we don’t need to rely on bringing accessories such as a charger for example. Yes they can charge off a powerbank but that means when have to carry 2 different things, which is inconvenient. When I go out and I want to carry light but still want to do some casual things on the mini laptop, I wouldn’t want to carry extra stuff which are unnecessary to begin with :/

    1. I doubt they would get into an Arm-on-Windows design. These are already ultra-Niche laptops. They wouldn’t do something that would lose them 75% of their customers.

      1. You think so huh? That’s such a shame.. I wonder if there are other ways to make the battery life of these devices better… I think if they use better quality or higher capacity batteries it could be possible.

  3. Do we know the cTDP for either of the chips? I’ve been looking between this and the Falcon, but I don’t want to spend an extra hundred or more for a processor that’ll be gimped from the start.

  4. If they remove the “Mission: Impossible” logo on the lid, then the black/dark gray model looks very nice. The One Mix 2S seems like a nice UMPC.

  5. The black model has, “MISSION IMPOSSIBLE” on the top of the case.
Other than that it is gorgeous.
