With a list price of $49, the Google Home Mini is one of the most affordable name-brand smart speakers around (it’s a buck cheaper than the latest Amazon Echo Dot).
But today you can pick up an Insignia Voice smart speaker from Best Buy for as little as $20.
These smart speaker/alarm clock devices are powered by the same Google Assistant software Google uses in its own devices.
Best Buy shows a list price of $150 for its portable Insignia Voice speaker (which has a battery) and $100 for the wired-only model, but I’d take those list prices with a grain of salt since these things are just about always on sale at deep discounts.
That said, today’s prices of $25 and $20 respectively are the lowest I’ve ever seen.

My speaker just got the 310 firmware upgrade a few days ago. This enabled “routines”. It still lacks “continued conversation”
BestBuy is in bed with Amazon now, which is why their older Google Home speakers are always on sale. They had so many of them and are just dumping inventory. Don’t expect it to get updated though. I got one of the big ones back when they were $40 and love it, even though I have 5 Echos in the house. It has better sound. I am not sure it was worth $150, but at $40 it is an amazing speaker. I just picked up 6 more for Christmas gifts at $25 each.
