Lenovo’s 13.3 inch Ideapad 720S is a thin and light laptop that weighs about 2.4 pounds, measures about half an inch thick, and which features a 1080p display. It’s also powered by an AMD Ryzen Mobile processor.

While a model with a Ryzen 5 2500U processor, 8GB of RAM, and 256GB of PCIe solid state storage has a list price of $900, Lenovo is currently selling the laptop for $600 when you use the coupon code RYZEN300 at checkout.

Prefer a convertible notebook? Dell’s Inspiron 13 7000 series isn’t quite as compact as the IdeaPad 720S, but Best Buy is selling a convertible touchscreen model for the same $600 price.

  1. The article has a typo:
“While a model with a Ryzen 5 2500U processor, GB of RAM”

You didn’t specify how many GBs.

  2. It’s nice to finally see some affordable 13.3 inch laptops, instead of overpriced Ultrabooks!

  3. Thanks for the heads up. I ALMOST bought the 720s laptop based on this article BUT after some googling it appears that the GPU on this model is severely limited. There are reddit threads about it. Something about single channel memory hurting the performance.

  4. “microSD cards for up to 73% off”

Still somehow a few bucks more than ‘regular’ Amazon prices. Gonna have to try harder than that, Best Buy.
