    1. I am waiting for a linux distro with Vulkan drivers and Wayland running on rk3399. I am hoping that will be the beginning of the end for x86.

      1. The idiots at arm really have been throwing away their opportunity at the low end desktop market. Hopefully risc-v will step up and be able to do what arm should have been doing all along.

        1. I too wonder why ARM won’t at least provide blob Vulkan drivers for each Linux kernel release. It looks like Android is the only OS that has vulkan drivers with Mali GPUs. Maybe Imagination will licence a GPU with open drivers… They are on hard times and that might make their GPU desirable again.
Until then Intel SFF pcs are the only game in town for vulkan on linux distros.

  1. Anyone know of a reliable relatively quiet mini PC like the HP Z2 Mini G3 but with a gaming GPU that doesn’t look like typical gaming gear? Thanks!

      1. Thanks! Can’t wait to see some reviews on that. Some early benchmarks I’ve found in the last 5 minutes seem promising. I hope the fan isn’t too loud especially when not gaming.

It’s great that it seems that the skull LEDs can be turned off (or there’s a swappable minimal looking plate/lid) and be practically invisible in the pics. Otherwise, it would have been a no buy for me.

        1. The previous Skull Canyon NUCs were pretty loud. Very noticeable outside of gaming with the volume up. Although, I’m hearing the new Hades Canyon NUCs are supposedly quieter due to larger fans/blowers.
