What comes after Black Friday in July? Obviously it’s Cyber Monday in July… or in other words, Best Buy’s latest excuse to run a 1-day sale.

Meanwhile, Amazon is offering a pretty impressive sale of its own: you can snag a single Amazon Echo smart speaker for $130, or pay just $160 to get two Echo speakers (when you use the coupon code listed below).

At that price, you could pick up one for yourself and one for a gift, or buy two and use them in different rooms in your house. Note that you might have to wait a little while for the Echo to ship though: Amazon currently says the speaker will be in stock in mid August.

Here are some of the day’s best deals.

  1. It does seem odd. But maybe inventory is not just in U.S. – it is at foreign factories and on ships. We are overdue an Echo update, so maybe it is clearing out factory inventory, or getting the tail end of production to exactly match demand by having all who are interested in effect pre-order during slack summer dog days. Then introduce new model in time for year-end holiday shopping.

  2. Odd they would have a sale on out of stock Echos. I wonder if this is a new strategy to offer cheaper prices if the product can be manufactured in the future as opposed to being carried in inventory?
