With Windows 10 S set to launch soon, it’s likely that we’ll see a new crop of Windows laptops with entry-level specs and Chromebook-like prices. But it’s not like there’s any shortage of notebooks with Windows 10 Home or Pro which already match that description.

Right now you can pick up a Lenovo IdeaPad 110s notebook from Best Buy for just $120… but it’s not a particularly good laptop. Woot is offering a much more impressive deal on a a Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga 11E with a quad-core Celeron processor, 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage for $270.

Here are some of the day’s best deals.

  1. The Yoga 11E is a surprisingly good machine with some nice features. The memory and HD are both user upgradable (max 8 gigs on RAM). There’s a built in ethernet port. It’s insanely solid. Feels nigh indestructible. The screen is low-res, but is a bright and clear IPS monitor.

Downsides are that it’s a little heavy. And battery life is maybe 5 hours at a stretch. Linux distros sometimes have problems with the Celeron used and will freeze, but this may have been fixed in current distributions.

Still, for the price, it’s incredibly nice.

  2. Hey Brad,
Thanks for making these every day, part of my mid-morning routine is checking out the daily deals.
You accidentally called it a “DanDisk Cruzer 256GB” – unless there’s a new SanDisk knock-off on the market. 🙂

      1. DanDisks are SanDisk storage devices preloaded with Dan’s files. You never know what you’ll get so it’s a lucky dip! Could be an episode of a popular TV show a few months ahead of time, could be poorly written fan fiction.
