Now that Xiaomi is making its own chips, the company is also making phones that use those processors. First up? The Xiaomi Mi 5c.

This 5.2 inch smartphone sports a Surge S1 octa-core processor, a 550-nit full HD display, a 2,860 mAh battery and USB Type-C charging.

The Xiaomi Mi 5c goes on sale in China March 3rd for 1,499 yuan, or about $218.

Xiaomi’s latest mid-range phone features 3GB of RAM, 64GB of eMMC 5.0 storage, a 12MP rear camera with phase detection autofocus, an 8MP front-facing camera, and a fingerprint sensor built into the home button, among other things.

It has a metal body and the phone measures 7.1mm (0.28 inches) thick and weighs 132 grams (4.7 ounces).

But the main thing that makes this phone different from others Xiaomi has released is the Surge S1 processor, which is an 8-core, 64-bit chip with custom features for voice and image processing. Xiaomi says that enables features including better low-light photography and multi-shot optimization feature that “chooses the best out of 5 frames.”

The company says the phone’s display also supports 2,048 levels of brightness, so when the screen adjust automatically to ambient conditions, the effect should be less noticeable on the Mi 5c than on most phones with fewer brightness levels.
