As expected, Samsung is expanding its line of Windows tablets. What I wasn’t certain of until today is that Samsung’s new Galaxy Book line of devices includes two new 2-in-1 tablets.

There’s a 10.6 inch model with a Core M3 processor and a 1920 x 1280 pixel display and a 12 inch model with a Core i5 chip and a 2160 x 1440 pixel screen.

Both tablets feature fanless designs, USB 3.1 Type-C ports, microSD card readers, GPS, WiFi, Bluetooth, and optional 4G LTE support.

Keep in mind, both models have low power Kaby Lake Y-series chips rather than the laptop-class processors found in some high-end Windows tablets like Microsoft’s Surface Pro lineup. But the latest Y-series chips are pretty zippy, which is one of the reasons Intel feels justified in using the Core i5 and Core i7 names for higher-end versions.

There are some differences between the two models, so here’s a quick run-down of some key specs:

  • 39.04 Wh batter (up to 10.5 hours)

  • 1.7 pounds

Both models support fast charging, detachable keyboards, and S-Pen digital pen input with 4,096 levels of pressure sensitivity.
