Kobo has been selling eBooks and devices for reading eBooks for years. Now the company is dipping its toe into the subscription eBook space.
There’s on key difference though: Kobo Plus is only available in two countries right now: Belgium and the Netherlands.
If you happen to be in one of those countries, you can sign up for a 30-day free trial. After that, the service, which is offered in partnership with Bol.com, will run you 10 Euros per month ($10.56).
Subscribers can read eBooks on a Kobo eReader or using a mobile app for Android or iOS phones or tablets.
There’s no word on whether Kobo has any plans to launch the service in the US or other markets anytime soon.
