The Chuwi Hi13 is a tablet with a 13.5 inch, 3,000 x 2,000 pixel display and an Intel Celeron N3450 Apollo Lake processor.
Chuwi unveiled the tablet last week, and now it’s up for pre-order from Gearbest or AliExpress for about $350.
While there’s no shortage of inexpensive Windows tablets with Celeron or Atom chips, the Chuwi Hi13 stands out thanks to its high-resolution IPS display with a 3:2 aspect ratio.
You know what else has a 13.5 inch, 3,000 x 2,000 pixel screen? Microsoft’s Surface Book. But Microsoft charges $1,499 and up for those 2-in-1 laptops, while Chuwi’s tablet sells for less than a quarter of that price.
On the other hand, while the Chuwi Hi13 does support both a digital pen and a detachable keyboard, neither of those is included in the base price. So if you plan to use this tablet as a notebook, you’ll have to spend a little more.
Other specs include 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a microSD card reader and a 10,000 mAh battery with 24 watt fast charging, a USB Type-C port, micro HDMI output, a 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth.
