HP is updating its Elitebook 800 line of business class notebooks with new models powered by Intel Kaby Lake processors. But in addition to that incremental hardware update, HP is playing up another change: new security features.

Specifically, the HP EliteBook 800 G4 series laptops will feature HP Sure Start Gen3 security, which is designed to notify you if it looks like someone has attempted to tamper with the BIOS.

The HP EliteBook 800 G4 series laptops will likely hit the streets in 2017, and they come in 12.5 inch, 14 inch, and 15.6 inch models.

The most portable of the bunch is the HP EliteBook 820 G4, which features a 12.5 inch display and support for up to 32GB of DDR4-2133 RAM, up to 512GB of solid state or 1TB of hard drive storage, and Core i3, Core i5, and Core i7 Kaby Lake processor options.

The laptop also features USB Type-C, USB 3.1, VGA, Ethernet, and DisplayPort jacks, HD or full HD display options, touchscreen keyboards, and a bunch ofother options including NFC, cellular modems, fingerprint scanners, and more.

HP’s EliteBook 840 G4 is a 14 inch model with similar specs, but an option for a 2560 x 1440 pixel display, a slightly bigger battery, and a bigger case.

The Elitebook 850 G4 is a 15.6 inch model with 3840 x 2160 pixel, 1920 x 1080 pixel, or 1366 x 768 pixel display options. The largest model is also the only one with an option for AMD Radeon R7 M465 graphics. The smaller laptops in the series feature Intel HD graphics.
