Budget tablet maker E Fun’s latest tablet is the least, well, budget-like to date. The E Fun Nextbook Flexx 12 Flip is a Windows 10 tablet that features a 12.2 inch 1920 1 200 pixel IPS touchscreen display, a detachable keyboard cover, an unspecified Intel Kaby Lake processor, and support for up to 256GB of storage.
E Fun will show off the tablet at the Consumer Electronics Show, and it should be available for purchase in the second quarter of 2017.
While the company doesn’t specify which Kaby Lake CPU is in the tablet, I suspect it’s safe to assume it will ship with a low-power Intel Core M or similar chip, much like similar tablets from Huawei, Lenovo, and Samsung, although there are certainly some 12 inch tablets with more powerful processors.
E Fun says its tablet supports 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, features a USB TYpe-C port, front and rear cameras, and a battery that should be good for up to 8 hours of use on a charge.
The company hasn’t revealed the price yet… or a good reason why it’s calling the tablet the Nextbook Flexx 12Â flip when the flip name usually implies a computer with a built-in keyboard and a 360-degree hinge that allows you to flip the screen around to switch between laptop and notebook modes.
