Chinese consumer electronics company Xiaomi is probably best known for offering reasonably high-quality products at low prices… but there are low prices, and then there are low prices. The recently launched Mi Note 2 smartphone, for example, is priced at $413 and up… and while that’s a good price for the hardware, it’s not exactly cheap.

The company’s Redmi line of products, meanwhile, are pretty cheap. And the latest models are no exception.

Xiaomi has just unveiled three new Redmi 4 series phones, and prices for the most affordable model start at 499 yuan, which is about $74 US.

That $74 model is called the Redmi 4A, and it’s a phone with a 5 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor, a 3120 mAh battery, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage.

It can either handle dual SIM cards or a SIM card and a microSD card. The phone has a all-metal body and features 13MP rear and 5MP front-facing cameras.

A slightly more powerful model called the Redmi 4 has a similar design, but features a Snapdragon 430 processor, a 4,100 mAh battery, and a fingerprint scanner.

The Redmi 4 is priced at 699 yuan/$104.

Have a little more money to spend? The 899 yuan/$133 Redmi 4 Prime has a 5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.

All three phones should be available in China in the next week or so.
