Less than two weeks after introducing the Huawei Mate 9 and Mate 9 Porsche Edition smartphones at an even in Germany, Huawei has unveiled one more member of the Mate 9 family.
At a Chinese event, the company introduced the Mate 9 Pro. It’s basically what you’d get if you took the Porsche name off the company’s highest-priced phone and gave it a pretty serious price cut.
There’s no word on whether this version will be available outside of China anytime soon though.
The Mate 9 Pro has a 5.5 inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel AMOLED display, a Kirin 960 processor, a 20MP rear camera, and a 12MP front camera.
The phone has a 4,000 mAh battery and it’ll ship with Android 7.0 Nougat software with Huawei’s EMUI user interface.
A model with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage is expected to sell for 4,699 yuan ($685), while a 6GB/128GB model is priced at 5,299 ($775).
Huawei’s Porsche Edition of the phone has the same display, processor, and other features, but it’s only available in one configuration: a 6GB/128GB will sell for 8,999 yuan in China (about $1315) in China.
