Linux computer builder System76 launched a 14 inch Ubuntu laptop called the Lemur in 2015. Now the company is selling an updated version of the Lemur laptop that’s over half a pound lighter, but which also has a higher-resolution display and a faster processor.

The laptop measures 13.4″ x 9.5″ x 0.9″ and weighs 3.6 pounds, and it come standard with a 14 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS matte display.

Other featrues include a USB 3.1 Type-C port, USB 3.0 and USB 2.0 ports, an SD card reader, Gigabit Ethernet, HDMI and VGA ports, and 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth.

The laptop has a removable 44 Wh battery, something that’s increasingly rare to find in portable notebooks these days.

System76 offers the laptop with a choice of Ubuntu 16.04 or Ubuntu 16.10 software.

An entry-level model features a Core i3-7100U processor, 4GB of RAM, and a 500GB hard drive, but the company offers options for a Core i7-7500U CPU, up to 32GB of RAM, and up to 5TB of total storage (there’s support for a 2.5 inch drive and an M.2 SSD, so there are multiple storage options).
