Microsoft is probably going to add an all-in-one desktop to its line Surface products soon. How soon? Maybe in a few weeks.

The company is sending out invitations to an October 26th event in New York City, and word on the street is that Microsoft will use the opportunity to talk about new Windows 10 features and to unveil new hardware… like a Surface desktop.

According to The Verge, Microsoft could also make some announcements about products related to its Xbox game console.

It’s also been a year since Microsoft introduced the Surface Book 2-in-1 laptop and Surface Pro 4 tablet, and it’s been a year and a half since the launch of the lower-cost Surface 3 tablet. While it wouldn’t be surprising to see Microsoft announce updates to one or more of those products, The Verge says the company will most likely showcase new laptops and other products from other companies using Windows software instead.

One other thing we probably won’t see? A next-gen Microsoft Band activity tracker. Microsoft seems to be phasing out that product line.
