Earlier this year Zotac launched a small form-factor desktop PC for gamers, featuring NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics. In order to keep the system from overheating, Zotac outfitted the case with a liquid cooling system.
Now the company is launching new models feature NVIDIA GTX 1060 and 1070 graphics cards… but since NVIDIA’s taken steps to make versions of those cards work in laptops and other tight spaces, there’s no liquid cooling required.
So the Zotac Magnus EN1060 and EN1070Â are a bit smaller than their predecessors.
The new systems measure about 8.3″ x 8″ x 2.45″ and come in a few different versions:
- Barebones (bring your own RAM, storage, and operating system)
- Plus (with 8GB of RAM, a 120GB M.2 SATA SSD and a 2.5″ 1TB hard drive, but no operating system)
- Windows 10Â (with the same specs as the Plus model, along with Windows 10 Home pre-installed).
Each model features an Intel Core i5-6400T quad-core Skylake processor, four video outputs (2 HDMI 2.0 and 2 DisplayPort 1.3), dual Gigabit Ethernet ports, 802.11ac WiFi, and Bluetooth 4.0 and mic and headphone jacks.
The computers have a USB 3.1 Type-C port, a full-sized USB 3.1 port, two USB 3.0 ports, and two USB 2.0 ports. And they also feature SD card readers and infrared receivers for media remote controls.
