The Asus Zenbook 3 is 2 pound notebook that measures less than half an inch thick and which has a 12.5 inch display, up to an Intel Core i7 processor, and up to 16GB of RAM.

Asus first unveiled the Zenbook 3 at Computex in May, but now the company is re-introducing the laptop at IFA, and this time Asus is promising it’ll ship with a 7th-gen Intel Kaby Lake processor rather than a 6th-gen Skylake chip.

The notebook also has slim 7.6mm bezels on the left and right sides of the screen, which isn’t quite Dell XPS 13-level slim, but it still makes this 12.5 inch laptop feel a little smaller than most other notebooks with a screen that size.

The Zenbook 3 may be super-thin, but Asus has packed a bunch of premium features inside the case, including Harman Kardon audio with four speakers (two in the base and two behind the screen), a backlit keyboard with 0.8mm pitch (which Asus helpfully points out is twice as much travel as you get in a MacBook), and a glass touchpad with an integrated fingerprint scanner for Windows Hello secure logins.

Asus will offer a top-of-the-line Zenbook 3 with a Core i7 Kaby lake processor, 16GB of 2133 MHz LPDDR3 RAM, and 1TB of PCie Gen3 solid state storage for 1,999 Euros. It’s likely that there will be lower-cost models available.

When Asus first unveiled the Zenbook 3 in May, the company said prices would start at $999.
