ZTE’s latest flagship smartphone is up for pre-order in the US for folks that want to pay $399 for a phone with top-tier specs. But the company also has something a little more affordable than the ZTE Axon 7.
The new ZTE ZMax Pro is a $99 phone that’s available for pre-order today from MetroPCS.
It may not be quite as powerful as the Axon 7, but the ZMax pro has some unexpectedly premium specs for a phone that sells for under $100.
The phone features 6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 617 processor, 2GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage.
It also has a 3,400 mAh battery, a USB 2.0 Type-C connector, quick charging support, and dual SIM card slots (although you can use one of those as a microSD card reader).
There’s a 13MP camera on the back of the phone as well as a fingerprint scanner. The phone has a 5MP front-facing camera.
Other features include 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, FM radio, Voice over LTE support, and Android 6.0 software.
Of course, if you do have some extra money to spend, the Axon 7 has a 5.5 inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage.
And while that model has a list price of $399, you can already find some pretty good deals — B&H is selling the phone for full price, but throwing in a $75 gift card and a pair of Samsung wireless headphones when you buy an Axon 7.
