Asus unveiled a few new Zenpad tablets with entry-level specs in June. But now it looks like the company is getting ready to update its ZenPad S line of Android tablets with premium specs.
The company is holding an event in Taiwan on July 12th to introduce the new Asus ZenPad 3s 10.
We’ll have to wait a few weeks to get the full spec sheet or price, but several Chinese-language websites are reporting that Asus has shared a few details in the invitation to the press event.
Here are the details we know about so far:
- 9.7 inch, 2K display (probably 2560 x 1536 or 2160 x 1440 pixels)
- Hexa-core processor
- 4GB of RAM
- 5,900 mAh battery
- Qualcomm Quick Charge 3.0
There’s also talk of something that’s 5.32mm (0.2 inches), although it’s unclear from Google Translate if that’s the width of the bezels around the sides of the display or the thickness of the tablet itself.
If any Chinese speakers want to weigh in, Talk.tw and Techalook both use a phrase that translates as something like “the world’s narrowest border 9.7 tablet width 5.32mm.”
Update: A it’s the bezel that’s 5.32mm.
