The only Zenbook thin-and-light laptop Asus showed off during its press event at Computex this week was the 2 pound, 0.5 inch Zenbook 3 which is expected to launch later this year for $999 and up.
But the company is also showing off a few other models at its booth, including the previously announced Zenbook Flip UX360 and a model called the Zenbook UX330 (which we first learned about from a leak in April).
Judging by the spec sheet, it seems possible that the Zenbook UX330 could be an update to the budget UX305 family of (relatively) low-cost ultrabooks, although there’s also a ZenBook UX306 model on the way.
Here’s what we know so far: The Zenbook UX330 weighs 2.64 pounds and measures about 0.53 inches thick and it has a 13.3 inch display.
Asus will offer models with up to an Intel Core i7 Skylake CPU, up to 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of solid state storage and up to a 3200 x 1800 pixel display.
The notebook features one USB 3.0 Type-C port, two USB 3.0 type-A ports, a micro HDMI port, a headset jack, and an SD card reader and it has a 57 Wh battery which the company says is good for up to 12 hours of run time.
One feature the UX330 has that the UX305 series seems to lack? A backlit keyboard.
