Another day, another tiny desktop computer with a low-power processor and Windows 10 software. But the specs on these little desktops keep getting (a little) better.
Yesterday we highlighted the Beelink BT7, with an Atom x7 Cherry Trail processor, 4GB of RAM, and up to 320GB of storage. Today the folks at Geekbuying wrote in to let me know about a similar mini PC with a more powerful Celeron J3160 Braswell processor.
The computer measures about 6″ x 6″ x 1.5″ and features 4GB of RAM, 64GB of mSATA solid state storage, and room for a 2.5 inch hard drive or SSD.
Other features include:
- HDMI and VGA ports
- 2 USB 3.0 ports
- 2 USB 2.0 ports
- 10/1000 Ethernet
- 802.11ac WiFI
- Bluetooth 4.0
The system includes a valid Windows 10 license, but the retail listing claims it also supports Ubuntu 15.10 and later.
A key difference between this model and the Beelink BT7 is the processor: both have low-power, quad-core chips. But the Celeron J3160 is a slightly more powerful 6 watt processor with Intel HD Graphics 400 featuring a base frequency of 320 MHz and a top speed of 700 MHz.
