We recently learned that Samsung has a new fitness tracker and a new set of wireless earbuds on the way. Now Samsung has all-but confirmed it.
The company posted pictures of the upcoming Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX earbuds on the Samsung S Health website. The images have been removed, but the folks at Mobile Bulgaria and Droid Life saved them.
As expected, the Gear Fit 2 appears to be a wristband with a curved display, similar to the original Gear Fit activity tracker. And the IconX earbuds are truly wireless ear pieces that not only don’t require a cable to connect to your phone… but which aren’t connected to one another via any wires either.
The Samsung website didn’t have any other details, but if the earlier leak is accurate, the Gear Fit 2 should have a 1.84 inch AMOLED display and support for GPS, while the Gear IconX earbuds have a touch-sensitive surface for controlling media playback and other functions, and 4GB of built-in storage for listening to music when your phone isn’t nearby.
There’s no word on the price or release date for either product yet.
