If Amazon rankings are anything to go by, Anker makes some of the most popular portable batteries that let you charge your smartphone on the go. Usually these battery packs range in capacity from around 2,000 mAh to 20,000 mAh, which usually means you can recharge a typical smartphone between 1 and 5 times before you need to refuel the battery.

The new Anker Powerhouse is a bit different. This 120,600 mAh battery can charge an average phone about 40 times. Or you could use it to recharge a laptop up to 15 times.

That kind of power doesn’t come in a cheap (or small) package though.

The Anker Powerhouse weighs a little under 10 pounds and looks more like a car battery (or maybe a small boom box) than like something you’d slide into your pocket for a day on the go.

With a sale price of $500 (and a list price that’s twice as high), this 434 Wh battery isn’t really designed for a trip around town though. Instead it’s the sort of battery that can keep all of your devices charged during a camping trip or in the event of a power outage.

You can also save 20% by using the coupon code “ANKPower,” which brings the price down to $400.

In addition to charging phones and laptops, Anker figures you can use the Powerhouse for lamps, television sets, or mini fridges.

The box has a full-sized AC outlet, so you can plug just about anything into it. There’s also a 12V car socket and four 2.4A fast-charging USB ports.
