Razer is refreshing its line of portable gaming laptops with the new 2016 model Razer Blade.

Like the model Razer launched a year ago, the new Blade has a 14 inch, 3200 x 1800 pixel display and discrete graphics. But the new model has an Intel Skylake processor, more powerful graphics, and a body that’s a little lighter than its predecessor.

While the new Razer Blade isn’t exactly cheap, the company is giving the gaming laptop a price cut: the new model starts at $1,999, which is $400 less than the 2015 model.

What you get for that money is an Intel Core i7-6700HQ  Skylake processor, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M graphics, 16GB of RAM, PCIe solid state storage, and 802.11ac WiFi.

The laptop measures 0.7 inches thick, weighs 4.25 pounds, and has a case made of CNC-milled aluminum. You can change the color of the backlit keys, thanks to RGB lighting.

Other features include three USB 3.0 ports, Thunderbolt 3 support, Bluetooth 4.1, 7.1 channel audio (via HDMI), and stereo speakers.

Pre-orders open March 15th, and Razer says the laptop will ship in April.

This is actually the second new Razer Blade laptop to launch this year. In January, the company introduced the Razer Blade Stealth, which is a 2.75 pound laptop with a 12.5 inch display. That model has a less powerful Intel processor and relies on an external Razer Core graphics dock for high-performance graphics cards.

Razer says the new Blade laptop is also compatible with the Razer Core graphics dock, which means you’ll be able to use it with a desktop graphics card if the built-in GeForce GTX 970M doesn’t meet your needs.
