The Lenovo IdeaPad 710S may not be the thinnest or lightest laptop Lenovo is launching at CES, and it may not have the most impressive display or a convertible design that lets use use  it like a tablet.
But this notebook looks like a solid option for folks looking for a compact notebook with a reasonable price tag. The IdeaPad 710S is a 2.6 pound notebook that measures 0.5 inches thick, has a 13.3 inch full HD display, an Intel Skylake processor, and a starting price of $799.
It should be available in July.
The notebook will be available with up to a Core i7 processor, up to 8GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of solid state storage. Some higher-priced models will  be available with Intel Iris graphics.
It features two USB 3.0 ports, a micro HDMI port, an SD card reader, and Lenovo says the notebook should be able run for up to 8 hours on a charge.
The notebook has reasonably slim bezels, making it seem a bit small for a 13.3 inch notebook. The screen is also matte, which means you won’t see as much glare when using the notebook under a bright light (like the sun), but which also means that some folks might find the colors to be a bit less vivid.
Another distinctive feature of this laptop is the ability to open the screen to a 180 degree angle.
