Windows 10 Mobile isn’t just for smartphones. Alcatel OneTouch has launched a new 8 inch tablet with a Qualcomm processor and the mobile version of Microsoft’s new operating system.
The Alcatel OneTouch Pixi 3 (8) will be available in Europe and Latin America starting in April.
Don’t want a Windows 10 Mobile tablet? The company also plans to offer a version with Android 5.0 software.
While Alcatel OneTouch is positioning the Pixi 3 (8) as a tablet, it supports 4G LTE and GPS and you can use it to send text message or make voice over IP calls.
The tablet features entry-level specs, including a 1280 x 800 pixel IPS display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 210 processor, 8GB of storage, 1GB of RAM, a microSD card slot, 802.11n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, a 5MP rear camera, and a 2Mp front camera. It has a 4060 mAh battery.
The company will offer black, white, and gold color options, as well as optional accessories including removable Color Skins and a Stand Flip Case.
Alcatel OneTouch says the Pixi 3 tablet should be available in Europe and Latin America in the first quarter of 2016 for less than $200. There’s no word on if or when it will be available in the US.
