LG V10 smartphone coming to AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile

10/01/2015 at 2:00 PM by Brad Linder 9 Comments

LG’s oddball new phone with a secondary display above the screen for notifications and shortcuts is coming to America, where the LG V10 will be sold by AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile.

None of those wireless carriers have announced the price or exact release date for the phone, but it will most likely be available before the end of the year.

The phone is packing some pretty powerful hardware, including 4GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 808 hexa-core processor, and a 5.7 inch, 2560 x 1440 pixel display.

But the phone’s stand-out features are the 2.1 inch, 160 x 1040 Second Screen above the display and the dual 5 megapixel front-facing camera which allows you to snap wide-angle selfies with up to a 120-degree field of view.

The phone also has a ruggedized body, a stainless steel frame, a 3,000 mAh removable battery, a microSDXC card slot, and a 16MP rear camera. It will ship with Android 5.1 Lollipop software.

Gotta love that LG keeps making phones with removable storage and removable batteries. As long as they keep it up they will be my choice for phones.

Is this the same model at all the carriers, so that you can take it to another carrier later?

This could be a great phone to pick up when they liquidate it. I like waiting a year before buying… it’s cheap and you know all the bugs in the design. God bless the early adopters!

Does it have a volume rocker? I can’t see one in any of the pictures.

It’s on the back, above and below the circular power button, in keeping with their other flagship phones.

Believe me lack of finger sensors with Android pay and Marshmallow is an odd strategy.
