Dell may be planning to update its line of 8 inch Windows tablets with a new mode featuring a faster processor and an optional higher-resolution display. According to leaked documents obtained by Giga, there’s one thing that the new Dell Venue 8 Pro will have in common with older models: support for a Dell Active Stylus.
If the slides published by Giga are accurate, here’s what we can expect from the new Dell Venue 8 Pro 5000 series (5855) tablet:
- 8 inch screen with 1280 x 800 and 1920 x 1200 display options
- Intel Atom x5 Cherry trail processor
- Windows 10
- 802.11ac WiFi, Miracast and WiDi wireless display, and NFC
- USB Type-C port
- Support for a Dell Active Stylus for pressure-sensitive writing or drawing
There’s also an optional 3D depth-sensing camera, optional support for 4G LTE and/or HSPA+ and optional docking stations that add HDMI, VGA, Ethernet, and USB ports.
The tablet is said to measure 8.5″ x 5.1″ x 0.35″ and weigh 14 ounces.
