The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 made a bit of a splash when it launched earlier this year, thanks to strong specs for a mid-range phone, and a $250 price tag closer to what you’d expect to pay for a budget phone.
Now Alcatel OneTouch is adding a new phone to the Idol 3 family, and it’s basically the same phone… but with a more colorful design.
The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 is available in white, red, green, pink, or yellow, and the rear covers are removable, which lets you change the look of your phone by snapping off the back panel and replacing it with a different color.
Other specs seem to be largely unchanged. Like the original Idol 3, the new Idol 3C features a 5.5 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 2910 mAh battery, and stereo front-facing speakers.
The phone supports 4G LTE, 801.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 4.1, and NFC and it features a 13MP rear camera and 8MP front-facing camera. There’s a microSD card slot with support for up to 128GB. The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3C will ship with Android Lollipop software.
