Acer’s latest Aspire V 13 laptop features an Intel Skylake processor, optional full HD and touchscreen displays, and support for up to 16GB of RAM and up to 1TB of storage.
The new Acer Aspire V 13 is a portable notebook that weighs about 3.5 pounds or less, and which should be available in October for $599 and up.
Entry-level models will be available with Intel Pentium processors and 13.3 inch, 1366 x 768 pixel displays. But Acer also plans to offer models with up to a Core i7 Skylake chip and 1920 x 1080 pixel displays (with optional touch).
Acer will offer models with up to 256GB of solid state storage, up to 1TB of hard drive storage, or up to 500GB of hybrid storage. The company says an Aspire V 13 with a hard drive weighs about 3.5 pounds, while a model with an SSD weighs 3.3 pounds. Both versions measure 12.9″ x 9″ x 0.8″.
