Acer entered the wearable space when the company launched the Liquid Leap fitness tracker last year. But at the time, the company only sold the wristband in select markets, and the US wasn’t one of them.
Now Acer is bringing a newer model called the Liquid Leap+ to the United States. The device has a $100 list price, but you can pick one up for $80 for a limited time.
The Liquid Leap+ features 0.94 inch, 128 x 32 pixel OLED touchscreen display, an IPX7 waterproof design, and support for exchangeable bands that come in black, green, or pink colors.
Acer’s wearable device can track steps, distance, sleep quality, and other fitness stats. It can also act as a controller for music playback on your phone or display details about incoming phone calls or text messages.
Te Liquid Leap+ connects with a phone over Bluetooth 4.0 LE, supports Android and iOS devices, and has a rechargeable battery good for up to 5 days of active use or 10 days of standby time.

Acer’s specs say “Compatible with Android 4.4 Kitkat” which isn’t setting the bar very high, and in the Play Store it looks like the app may not work with Lollipop: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.acer.app.android.leap
