Chromebooks generally have a reputation for being cheap laptops. But that doesn’t mean they all need low-resolution displays and small amounts of RAM.

Toshiba offers a Chromebook 2 model with 4GB of RAM and a 13.3 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display. It has a list price of $330 which makes it pretty cheap for a laptop, but rather expensive for a Chromebook.

But right now you can buy one for $279.

  1. i have that toshiba chromebook and it is worth every penny. The ips display is amazing. some of the google wallpapers look fantastic.

  2. Glad to see the lower price on the HD Chromebook, but still can’t justify buying. First $200 laptop with an HD display gets the business.

  3. the moto e looks nice. Too bad it doesn’t have LTE support although I only use mobile data for email.

    1. 3G is more than enough for email. I keep LTE turned off most of the time on my phone to conserve battery power, and for things like email and basic web browsing I don’t really notice the difference.
