Chinese tablet maker Cube is getting ready to launch a new version of the Cube i7 tablet which launched earlier this year.

CNgadget reports the new Cube i7 Stylus is a 10.6 inch Windows tablet with an Intel Core M Broadwell processor and a Wacom digitizer with support for a pressure-sensitive digital pen. It should be available in China later this month.

The Cube i7 Stylus features a 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS display using IGZO technology, a Core M-5Y10C processor, 4GB of RAM, 64GB of solid state stroage, 802.11b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, and 4G LTE.

There are HDMI and micro USB ports, a microSD card slot, and front and rear cameras. The tablet has a 9,000 mAh battery.

Cngadget says the tablet will be available in China starting June 18th for about $320. But that price doesn’t include the Wacom pen or optional keyboard dock.

It also doesn’t include the cost of shipping the tablet internationally: Cube is a Chinese brand, but there are stores that will often ship the company’s tablets to the US or Europe, but you’ll usually have to pay a higher price to get a Cube tablet outside of China.

Still, there’s a good chance a Cube i7 Stylus tablet + pen + keyboard will be cheaper than a Microsoft Surface 3 tablet with similar accessories. It also has a more powerful processor and a Wacom pen rather than one that uses N Trig technology.

  1. The price must be wrong here. This same tablet is listed for $650 on the cube-tablet.com website — without the digitizer. Am guessing $350 is the added cost of the digitizer. After all, similar Wacom digitizers generally add about $250 to the cost of Lenovo 2-in-1 PC/tablets.

I hope I’m wrong, though. If these really will cost $320… but no, it’s not possible.

    1. it costs $322 without wacom pen and optional keyboard ,it’s true

      1. Sweet! I guess if Alldo Cube confirms it, it must be true! What a bargain! Can’t wait to get one for my artistic daughter.

        1. hope you’ll like it , if possible ,you can follow my FB to get further information for purchase, thanks

    2. I checked the link and I think the $650 version you saw was the i7 non-stylus.
Cube i7 Stylus product page says it includes the Wacom pen in the package.

  2. 16:9 is bad. When will you guys finally learn? 16:10 is barely acceptable, 4:3 good, 3:2 is perfect.

    1. True, 3:2 is the “Golden Ratio,” loved by artists. But are artists the only market? Won’t the hard-core art types save up for a Cintiq? This will be perfect for media consumption… and maybe for editing 3:2 photos/art with a palette or two on the side(s)?

    2. Drawing on 16:9 screen is awful at small screen sizes like 10″. The limited vertical real estate is just miserable to work in. I hated drawing on the original Surface Pro 1 because of this, but the Surface Pro 3’s screen is light years better because of the larger size and aspect ratio. However, 16:9 does become quite useful at 15″ and up, because the extra horizontal space is great for menus, extra windows, etc.

  3. Pretty balls’y to have i7 in the name only to have a core M processor, YIKES!

  4. Wow. The only question on my mind is how well it keeps the CPU cool. Core M performance is liable to vary drastically depending on temps.

  5. And now I’m glad I didn’t impulse-buy the Surface 3. I hope you’ll be able to review it, Brad!

    1. There you have it everyone proof that the Surface 3 is overpriced… If this has even 1 us based LTE band I want one..I have several wacom pens sitting around

      1. Well, you get what u paid, surface hardware is damn good and also is their customer service, can’t talk about cube. I got a tablet, havoc, ages ago and oh boy it was terrible.

        1. not a problem this tablet is cheap enough to warrant me buying a SquareTrade warranty!

      2. The quality of the Cube’s screen may not be as good as the Surface 3’s, which could be one reason for its lower price.

        1. It is a 10 inch tablet… I honestly don’t think you need the crazy resolutions they put on these tablets 1920×1080 is perfectly fine

      3. They have no competition for now so they can price it at $500. It’s gonna be like $350 by Black Friday.
