The 11.6 inch EeeBook E202 isn’t the only new low-cost laptop from Asus. The company is also introducing a new 14 inch model called the EeeBook E403SA.

It’s a thin, light, and low-power model that should be available in the third quarter of 2015 for $299.

According to Microsoft, the new laptop measures about 0.7 inches thick, weighs a little over 3 pounds, and features an Intel Pentium processor and up to 13 hours of battery life.

It’s not clear which Pentium chip the computer users, but given its price and name, I suspect it’s the same 6 watt Pentium N3700 Braswell chip used in the smaller EeeBook E202.

Other features include 2GB of RAM and 32GB of solid state storage.

Asus also introduced a range of other products at Computex this week, including the Transformer Book T100HA 2-in-1 Windows tablet, new mini-desktop computers, a new line of Android tablets, a next-gen smartwatch, and a few new smartphones including one with a 13MP front-facing camera.

  1. Can’t wait! I hope they offer some upgrades (resolution, processor, etc)

Maybe this will freak the other manufacturers out! Wake up!

  2. I’m more partial to 12-13″ sizes, but this is most definitely an awesome design. At that price-point the screen will probably be 1366×768, but knowing Asus they’ll probably also make a higher-resolution version for a few bucks extra. Would probably decrease the battery life a tad, but it’d be worth it.

Reminds me a bit of the old Dell Mini 12 I used to own. Extremely portable, good screen size, decent low-end performance, and stellar battery life.
