The Cube i6 Air 3G is a tablet with a 9.7 inch, 2048 x 1536 pixel display, an Intel Atom Bay Trail processor, and surprisingly strong performance at some tasks such as transcoding videos, according to tests I ran while reviewing the tablet.

But the most interesting thing about the Cube i6 Air 3G is its software: this is a dual OS tablet that ships with both Android 4.4 and Windows 8.1 pre-installed.

You can use it to run Windows apps such as Office or Internet Explorer or reboot into Android to run Google Maps, Gmail, YouTube, Pandora, and other tablet apps.

Geekbuying sells this Chinese tablet for underย $200, but the store provided me with a free unit to review. Now that I’m done with it, let’s hold a good old-fashioned giveaway!

a Rafflecopter giveaway

This contest is for one slightly used Cube i6 Air 3G dual-boot tablet. I’ll ship it to a randomly selected winner anywhere in the world — but if you’re outside of the United States you may have to foot the bill for any taxes or import fees yourself.

If you write for Liliputing or are a close friend or family member of a writer, you’re not eligible to win. Neither is anyone who has won another Liliputing contest in the past 60 days.

The contest will end on Tuesday, May 12th, 2015.

Thanks again to Geekbuying for providing us with a reviewย unit!

Update: This contest has now ended. Congratulations to our winner, Michael Dinsmore!

  11. Is there a comparison table somewhere that lists past tichy devices, specs, urls etc?
I would find this quite useful. Especially if it were in an exportable format. Who knows Brad, if you include a ratings and comments facility it could be another revenue stream for vous.

  15. Saw the review vid on my youtube feed. Looks like a good value.

  16. Hard to be profound when you’re commenting purely in self-interest. But I can be as shallow as the next guy when there’s a tablet up for grabs.

  17. So does anyone know if the OS partitions can be resized? Pretty weak on the android side, from what I’ve read.

  18. Im feeling lucky! Been looking for this type of tablet for a while now. Thanks again for the awesome reviews.

  19. I’ll bite again. I admit, though I read and enjoy this blog almost every day, I only comment when there is a contest–or if I have seomething worth saying, so, basically, only when there is a contest.

  41. The Link in the contest for “This page” points to a previous contest. Thought I’d point that out.

  42. Most of us already have a tab or few running satisfactorily, my only look out these days is the speediest decent PDF reader. Would appreciate some (informal) feedback in PDF rendering and page flipping, esp Win8 vs Android on the same hardware. Already spent hours mulling over this on G/b. gimme,

Btw Google ad sense works great … not on my usual browsing machine and so without all those tweaks that normally hide ads.

  49. Thanks for all your fine reviews and info on bargains. Abd if I am lucky, a new instrument to play with!

  50. Ineligible, “anyone who has won another Liliputing contest in the past 60 days” . I’ve never won anything and would like to become ineligible so that I can find out, “how the other half lives”.

  51. I’ll love to leave a comment, but the page you ask asking to leave the comments has the section closed.
Regarding the tablet, looks like an exceptional alternative for the nexus 9.

  52. An awesome tablet with the best of both worlds, Windows and Android?… ๐Ÿ˜€

  56. Wow, where did all of these posters come from? Usually when I post, there are maybe two or three others with me. What caused such a stir? Hmm…

  57. I would love to own this tablet.Dual OS sounds good now I can get rid of my 5 year old tablet and have one decent tablet. Please pick me.

  58. My wife would just love this. If she could pry it from my fingers, that is.

  67. Intel has finally managed to make very interesting low-power SOCs. Competition is good!

  68. I am in. Recently bought a chuwi vi8 and I am really surprised about its performance.

Now, I read that this tablet has the same screen as an iPad Air (2). Is that true? Or is it just accidentally the same size resolution and aspect ratio?

  76. I could see myself using this mainly as a Windows notebook, with a keyboard. Lately I’ve been finding myself not into the two tablets I do own; I just do not find the tablet format all that useful, owning and using regularly already an Android phone and Windows ultrabook.

  77. I’ve been looking at these dual boot tablets for the last month. Would be great if I could get lucky here. Thanks for the review, it was very informative.

  78. Please include me, my VivoTab Note 8 died and the repair cost is higher than getting a new one

  79. Was considering a Teclast x98 Air II, but this’d do in a pinch…

  80. Good review. I would love to win this. Is it possible to review more of the China tablets? Some have some really good specs, and would like to see how they really perform.

  81. I’d love one!
Trying to get Linux up and running on one of these things sounds like it could be fun.

  82. Looks cool! I’m glad companies are trying different things with tablets.

  83. I’d love to win this, can’t remember the last time Ive won anything.
