There are a growing number of PC-on-a-stick devices featuring Intel Atom processors. Some run Windows. Others run Android. With a little elbow grease you can get some to run Ubuntu.

But now we’re also starting to see models that are said to dual boot both Android and Windows. The Aoluguya M1 is a dual-boot PC stick that sells for about $136 at DealExtreme.

According to the product listing the Aoluguya M1 supports both Windows 8 and Android 4.4 and allows you to “boot Android from Windows desktop. We’ve seen dual-boot tablets with similar specs, but this is one of the first PC sticks I’ve seen with dual-boot features.

The little computer features 2GB of RAM, 32GB of storage, and an Intel Atom Z3735F Bay Trail processor. It has a microSD card slot for removable storage, supports 802.11b/g/n WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, has to micro USB ports and one USB 2.0 port and connect to your TV or monitor with an HDMI connector.

Note that some companies have sold similar devices with unlicensed copies of Windows in the past. I can’t say for certain that the Aoluguya M1 comes with a valid Windows license, but the price tag seems reasonable for a device with a fully activated version of Windows 8.1 with Bing.

DealExtreme lets you return items for a full refund if you’re not satisfied.

  1. Is your Target communicating with people they shouldn’t be? Having access to the phone book lets you know exactly who your Target user is in contact with. Do the same phone numbers appear under a different name now? 1TopSpy puts you back in the driver’s seat by allowing you to screen for any suspicious phone contact entries on the target device.

  2. Samsung should get with the program and start putting Tizen pc sticks on the market.

  3. Aaaand it’s still the good-old MeegoPad T01. It actually is a pretty good machine, but I encountered some thermal throttling on mine. Guess I’ll open it up and put a small heatsink on the CPU.

    1. I just ordered the T01. I pulled a tiny heatsink off an older motherboard. I was thinking if its running too throttley, I would cut a hole in the case and find a way to adhere the heatsink

      1. I have had some very good luck attaching real heat sinks to stick PCs.
Ugly as sin when you are done but it makes a huge difference over the piece of aluminum foil they tend to use as a heat spreader In these things.

        1. What are you guys doing with the sticks that causes them to run hot? Just normal day-to-day stuff, or something more intense?

          1. I did it to a Rockchip quad core android stick so it wouldn’t threaten to melt itself down when playing Clash of Clans.
I stuck some copper heat sinks on it and now it’s fine.
It actually looks more like one of the ships from the original Battlestar Galactica, but I digress…
