Alcatel OneTouch has unveiled its latest flagship smartphone and while it’s not the most powerful phone on the market, the company is emphasizing a few special features.
The Alcatel OneTouch Idol 3 features a 13MP camera which the company says supports super-fast auto-focus. The camera has stereo, front-facing JBL audio speakers. And there are no hardware buttons on the front of the phone… which means it’s not possible to hold the phone upside down. The screen will rotate automatically so that doesn’t matter which way you hold the phone.
Alcatel OneTouch will offer models with 4.7 inch and 5.5 inch displays. The smaller phone has a quad-core processor and a 720p display, while the larger model has an octa-core CPU and 1080p screen.
Both models run Google Android Lollipop software, feature 13 megapixel cameras with “Fast Face Focus” software to detect a face within a quarter of a second. There’s also a front-facing camera with an 84 degree viewing angle.
The smaller smartphone has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 processor, 1GB of RAM, 16GB of storage, a 5MP front camera, a microSD card slot, and a 2,000 mAh battery.
The 5.5 inch version features a Snapdragon 615 processor, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of storage (or 32GB on dual SIM models), a microSD card slot, an 8MP front camera, and a 2,910 mAh battery.
sooo, does it have an on/off button??? Or maybe 2 – 1 on both sides??
That is until some app demand either portrait or landscape. At that point you find out the official “down”…
maybe down will be however it is held
