LG’s next smartwatch will be the company’s first with an all-metal design. It’s called the LG G Watch Urbane, and it features a round watch face, a plastic OLED display, and Google’ Android Wear software.

Under the hood the new watch is a lot like the company’s G Watch and G Watch R, but the new model has a new physical design which is slimmer and a bit classier. It’ll also probably be more expensive, although LG hasn’t yet announced the price.

The LG G Watch Urbane features a 1.3 inch, 320 x 320 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 processor, 512MB of RAM, 4GB of flash storage, and a 410mAh battery.

It has a 9-axis sensor, a heart rate monitor, and an IP67 dust and water resistant design.

LG will offer the stainless steel watch in gold or silver colors. Both come with a stitched leather strap, but you can replace it with any 22mm watch band.

  1. sorry, i just dont get this technology,,i dont think it will succeed.. its silly ………..dont think it will sell to the masses..

    1. I agree that it is silly, but that’s exactly the kind of thing that appeals to the masses.
      Pet Rocks
      Baby On Board signs

      1. Yeah but neither of those items cost hundreds or even thousands of dollars.

  2. LG is starting to behave like Samsung, garbage (not gadget) spam at high prices.

    1. Starting to? They are both Korean companies, and rivals in every sense.

  3. Google needs to really update android wear. They need to work on making it less dependent on a phone, if I turn my lg g watch off and then back on, the time will changed to 1969! Why can’t the time stay the same! It’s a watch!
Now here is hardware: Speakers for phone calls, heartrate monitor should be standard, maybe make watches with more health sensors? Blood pressure or glucose levels?
And battery life needs to be more than 1 day
Maybe if they made android wear work cross platform with iOS and Windows it would drive up sales. Moto 360 much better looking thing apple watch
