The Asus EeeBook X205TA is a portable Windows laptop that’s a bargain at its regular price of $199. But you can often find it for less… and right now Staples is offering the little notebook for $50 off.

I recently reviewed the laptop, and while it doesn’t have a super fast processor, a lot of storage space, or all the full-sized ports you might get from a more expensive notebook, it certainly shows that Windows laptops can give Chromebooks a run for their money.

  1. Hey Brad, my internet is giving me fitts this morning. Can you confim you received my reply?

  2. I got one for $100, pretty good laptop, but 32gb is limiting and no usb 3.0

    1. $179 here, pretty good laptop, but use it only on the rare occasion when must have Windows; most of the time I’m using the C710; #2 computer (for more serious work) is an Acer Extensa 5420 with Ubuntu and an SSD. Seems to me that these new touch oriented systems have lost track of what computers are actually for (_NOT_ social networks, selfies, etc).
