Razer unveiled its Nabu smartband at last year’s Consumer Electronics Show, although the company didn’t really get around to launching the wearable activity tracker until closer to the end of 2014.

Now the company is announcing a new model at CES 2015. The Razer Nabu X is cheaper and a bit less capable. But it’ll go on sale almost immediately: you’ll be able to pick one up starting January 13th.

The new Razer Nabu X is a wearable wristband like last year’s model. But there’s no screen. Instead there are 3 colored LED lights and vibration motors that will alert you when notifications come in on a smartphone paired with the device.

The band can track steps and distance, react to gestures such as a turn of your wrist, alert you to incoming text messages, emails, and other notifications, and allow you to exchange data with other Nabu or Nabu X users through a high-five gesture thanks to band-to-band communication.

While the original Nabu sells for $100, the new model costs just $50, and Razer will offer the Nabu X to some members of the Razer Insider forums for just $20.
