The HP Elite x2 1011 G1 is an 11.6 inch Windows tablet that comes with a keyboard dock for use in notebook mode.

It’s powered by an Intel Core M processor, supports up to 8GB of RAM, up to 512GB of storage, has a durable design, and supports an optional Wacom pen.

HP will offer the Elite x2 1011 G1 through its business division when the 2-in-1 tablet launches later in January for $899 and up.

The tablet has undergone MIL-STD 810G testing and supports enterprise features including TPM security and HP Client Security.

HP offers an optional travel keyboard and a Power Keyboard which has a a built-in 21 Whr battery as well as a smart card reader, fingerprint scanner, DisplayPort, and USB 3.0 ports.

There’s also an option for an active digitizer and Wacom  pen for pressure-sensitive writing or drawing.

The HP Elite x2 1011 G1 will be available with an Intel Core M-5YC10c, Core M-5Y51, or Core M-5Y71 processor, a 1366 x 768 pixel or 1920 x 1080 pixel IPS display, and a choice of operating systems including Windows 7 Pro, Windows 8,1, and Windows 8.1 Pro.

The tablet has a 33 Whr battery, a microSD card slot, docking connector for the keyboard, a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera, and support for up to 8GB of RAM.

It also supports an optional WiGig enterprise wireless docking station which lets you connect the tablet to peripherals simply by bringing it within 4 feet of the dock.

The system measures 11.7″ x 7.6″ x 04″ but its about twice as thick when you add the Power Keyboard. The tablet alone weighs about 1.9 pounds. The power keyboard is 1.7 pounds, while a lighter 1.2 pound travel keyboard is also available.
