BLU has added 3 new phones to its lineup of affordable Android smartphones.

All three models are members of the BLU Studio family, and they all feature support for 4G LTE networks in the United States.

BLU Studio Mini LTE

This is the smallest, cheapest of the bunch. Priced at $119, the Studio Mini has a 4.5 inch, 854 x 480 pixel display, a 1.2 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 400 quad-core processor, 1GB of RAM, 4GB of storage, a microSD card slot, a 5MP rear camera, 0.3MP front camera, WiFi, Bluetooth, and an 1850mAh battery.

It ships with Android 4.2 Jelly Bean, but BLU says the phone will support an Android 4.4 KitKat software update.

The BLU Studio Mini LTE supports AT&T and T-Mobile as well as wireless carriers that use those company’s networks, including Straight Talk, Cricket, and Metro PCS.

BLU Studio 5.0 HD LTE

Looking for a phone that packs a little more punch? This model sells for $199 unlocked, features a 5 inch, 1280 x 720 pixel display, has a 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera, sports a 2200mAh battery, and has 8GB of storage.

The rest of the specs are largely the same as those for the smaller model, except the BLU Studio 5.0 LTE ships with Android 4.4 KitKat and it supports T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network, but not AT&T’s.

BLU Studio 6.0 LTE

This $279 smartphone has a 6 inch, 1920 x 1080 pixel display, 2GB of RAM, and 16GB of storage plus a microSD card slot.

It also has a faster processor than the other models, with a 1.6 GHz Snapdragon 400 chip, and a bigger 3200mAh battery.

Like the 5 inch model, the BLU Studio 6.0 LTE has 13Mp and 5MP cameras, Android 4.4 software, and only supports T-Mobile’s 4G LTE network.

  1. Question: Do these new BLU phones for T-Mobile support the T-Mobile wifi calling features. Will they recognize local open wifi routers and offer a fast and totally free connection through them?

  2. interesting. a bit overpriced on the 5″ model, which is the only one I’d be interested in. But why in the world would they support TMobile 4G but not ATT? That kills it for me, I get terrible TMobile service in my neck of the woods.
The Asus Pegasus seems like a better deal anyway

    1. I think Blu focuses mostly on T-mobile right now because they have far more prepaid customers than AT&T. Virtually all AT&T customers will purchase an AT&T locked phone, not an unlocked full priced phone.
