Toshiba introduced a 2-in-1 Windows tablet with an 11.6 inch display and a detachable keyboard dock last year. It’s called the Toshiba Portégé Z10t and it’s a premium device with a starting price of $1499.

Now it looks like Toshiba may have a new model with a 12.5 inch screen on the way. A device called the Toshiba Portégé Z20t passed through the FCC this week.

Update: Yup, the Toshiba Portégé Z20t is official, and it’s powered by an Intel Core M Broadwell processor.

toshiba portege z20t_02There aren’t many details in the FCC listing, but Notebook Italia notes that the name and the FCC documents suggest it’ll probably have a 12.5 inch screen, dual-band 802.11ac WiFi and Bluetooth 4.0, and a keyboard dock that lets you use the tablet like a notebook.

The system will probably be a premium Windows tablet, like its predecessor. But while last year’s model ships with an Intel Haswell processor, don’t be surprised if the new model features new Core M Broadwell chip.

Intel’s new low-power, high-performance chips are designed specifically for thin, light, and typically fanless tablets, notebooks, and 2-in-1 devices like this.
